About Me

I am a therapist with over 14 years of experience working with adults and couples. I have also lived in this life! So I understand what it means to be:
… a mother
… a black woman
… motherless & grieving
… child of a single parent
… poor
… overweight
… misjudged & devalued
I get it. I also have the knowledge and experience to help you find that light within and make an IMPACT on your life. Let’s get it!

I am fully licensed as a therapist in IL, Ml and IN, providing teletherapy. I have over 14 years of experience working array of clients such as caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's disease, women, people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community. Do you want to get rid of imposter syndrome or learn how to love yourself? I have experience working with people attempting to cope with many concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, grief, relational issues, career & work situations, self-esteem and caregiver stress.

I received a Masters of Arts in Clinical Professional Psychology from Roosevelt University in 2010. My experience and training including working in long-term care settings, adult day programs and community mental health. I also have experience as a Care Consultant for Alzheimer's Association, helping families navigate Alzheimer's and dementia.

I am trained in methods of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy and I am IFS (internal family systems) informed.
I was born and raised on the Westside of Chicago by a wonderful, dedicated single black mother. She instilled in me the importance of education. I knew early on that I wanted to be in a helping profession. Navigating life as an black woman comes with many unique challenges. I choose this profession to support and guide others.
My professional background and life experience has prepared me to help guide you through life's most difficult challenges. I have lost many loved ones and continue to learn how to live with grief. I am also a mom to a toddler. Motherhood has proven to be one of the most beautiful and challenging experiences of my life.

Come on, lets get it together!
